The online education and therapy programme for people who stammer

Module 2: Orchestral Speech

Orchestral speech is the first of two new techniques that we have developed to help you bring your stammering under control. In this module, we describe the rationale behind the technique, and provide comprehensive instructions on how to employ it.

We recommend that you first work through the introductory slideshow and the online article, and then, complete the practical reading exercises on the page entitled “Learning to use Orchestral Speech”. Finally, work through the suggestions for using Orchestral Speech in conversational settings (on the next page).

Note that page 4 of this module contains answers to some of the more frequent questions that clients have asked. There is also a support email on that page, through which you can contact us with any questions.

Before working through the practical exercises, we recommend that you first read the following online article which provides a more detailed account of Orchestral Speech...

Orchestral Speech: A technique for when you really need to be fluent

Then, when you are ready, go to the practical exercises on the next webpage...
